The very friendly staff, very good breakfasts, nice restaurant and food.
Dislikes:
The bar could be vastly improved with a little money for new tables and chairs and some touches. The lounge could do with some newspapers to read, a modern tv,and brightening up.

Arrived very late on motorcycles after being caught out in appalling weather (heavy rain and fog). They offered to keep the kitchens open past their usual closing time to accommodate our needs. Also allowed use of their tumble drier and radiators in the foyer to dry clothing. Motorcycles were tucked away safely in a garage. Room was extremely comfortable and clean, with good heating, TV, tea/coffee facilities, large bathroom. Read less

In comparison with the Guest House I stayed in the previous week the room was larger, the television better and also the mirror and light in the en-suite were better. Carpet was nicer than " wood " .
Dislikes:
That blooming beam in my room, it made me swear a couple of times.

Dislikes:
Not the hotel's fault but there is no mobile phone signal in the area. Call are 20p per unit from the room so not too bad.

the hotel is realy under rated, good friendley staff, good facilitys but the thing I liked the best appart from the breakfast was the use of the garage to store my bike in realy good (and thanks)

TV in the room, spacious rooms and nicely decorated, nice atmosphere in the bar area. Marvelous views from the bedroom. Cosy living room with telescope.

We were greeted by a friendly crowd in the bar downstairs, and were checked in straight away to a cosy double room with a superb view of the valley, and upon opening the window we could hear the nearby waterfall, which was quite relaxing.
Precisely when we were told they would begin serving, our order for breakfast was taken, and a full english breakfast was served minutes later. The food was excellent, and we checked out early without issue. We would not hesitate to book here again. Read less

We stayed for three nights and during the day, explored the area including the nearby Devil's Bridge Falls, the RSPB Red Kite Feeding Station, the beautiful Valley of Elan, Aberystwyth, and the long sandy beach at Borth. At the end of the day we joined the friendly regulars, for whom the hotel bar is their local, for a pint of 'Double Dragon'. We were given some useful tips on the best places to visit. We left having learned much about the history and the way of life of the area. Read less

Panoramic views from our bedroom and the dining room, as well as the garden area where you gan look down on the impressive gorge with its waterfall. Falling asleep to the sound of the falls was great.
Dislikes:
Not that I can think of. The couple who own the hotel couldn't have been more friendly and hospitable towards us and our dog Sammy.
